Two budget-related bills now in print related to SB 1137
New bills, amended in Senate, relate to implementation of 2022 oil and gas well law
On Tuesday, August 27, two additional budget vehicles emerged in print in the Senate. Following a Senate rule waiver, the Senate amended AB 180, a new “budget bill jr.,” and AB 218, a new trailer bill to delay certain provisions of 2022’s SB 1137. SB 1137 concerned oil and gas production facilities and wells.
ABs 180 and 218 will be eligible for Senate action and, if approved by the Senate, Assembly concurrence no earlier than 7:37 p.m. on Friday, August 30.
Seven previously amended budget-related bills were approved by the Legislature on Wednesday, August 28, and Thursday, August 29. Those bills were amended through last weekend, as noted here.
