Jason Sisney (he/him) serves as the lead staff-level negotiator on state budget issues for Assembly Democrats and Speaker Robert Rivas. Prior to joining the Assembly in 2018, he worked for 13 years at the Legislative Analyst's Office—specializing in tax policy and forecasting, as well as public employment policy—and for a decade as a bond rating analyst for state and local entities at Fitch Ratings in New York. He advises Assemblymembers on preparations for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and is a published historian focusing on the modern Olympic Games. A graduate of West Virginia public schools, the University of Virginia, and the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, Jason lives in Sacramento with his husband Ken.
