This Substack aims to provide timely information and updates about the California state budget. It may include multiple daily posts concerning budget bill introductions or amendments during peak periods of the budget process. Periodic notes concerning other significant budget developments also are expected.

Knowing that many of you are subscribing to receive emailed budget updates, I will do my best to minimize email volume. Additional budget-related information will be posted on companion accounts at other sites (for now: via Threads and LinkedIn.)
