Assembly budget plan released

Stage set for negotiations over next 1-3 weeks with Senate, administration

The Assembly’s budget plan - for negotiations with the Senate and the Newsom administration - has been posted on the Assembly Budget Committee website:

• Subcommittee No. 1 on Health

• Subcommittee No. 2 on Human Services

• Subcommittee No. 3 on Education Finance

• Subcommittee No. 4 on Climate Crisis, Resources, Energy and Transportation

• Subcommittee No. 5 on State Administration

• Subcommittee No. 6 on Public Safety

The Constitution requires the Senate and Assembly to pass a budget bill for the 2026-27 fiscal year on or before Monday, June 15, 2026.
